Update Guide for Display Audio Gen2V

  • Depending on the vehicle and specification, your screen may differ from the actual screen displayed.

  • Software Download Process (Computer):
    1. Select the download file from the following list that corresponds to your vehicle.

    2. If you are using Internet Explorer, it will ask you to save the file.


    3. If you are using Chrome Browser, the download will start automatically.


    4. Save the download file on your desktop or laptop. Note the file name and where it was saved.
      Example: K3.zip

    5. From the desktop/laptop, open the downloaded Vehicle.zip file. Un-zip or extract it.

    6. Insert an "empty" USB drive (4GB minimum) formatted in FAT32 into the desktop/laptop USB port.

    7. Copy the enc_system_package_XXX.XXX.XXXXXX.zip & enc_d2vsystem_package_XXX.XXX.XXXXXX.zip
      to the USB drive: enc_system_package_XXX.XXXXXXXXX.zip & enc_d2vsystem_package_XXX.XXX.XXXXXX.zip
      DO NOT unzip/extract this file before copying to the USB drive.


  • In Vehicle Download Instructions:
    Follow the steps below to check the software version information for the Display Audio system installed in your vehicle.


    1. Press the "Setup" key or tap the Setup touchscreen button in the All Menus section of the Display Audio system.

    2. Tap "General" to check the vehicle's software version.

    3. If your vehicle's installed SW Version is the same software version as the update, no further action is necessary.
      If it is different, continue to the next step.

    4. Insert the USB device that contains the enc_system_package_XXX.XXX.XXXXXX.zip & enc_d2vsystem_package_XXX.XXX.XXXXXX.zip file into the USB port in your vehicle.

    5. Tap the "Update" button.

    6. Confirm the update by pressing "Yes".
The update process will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
Please leave your vehicle running and DO NOT remove the USB device until the update is complete.
