Navigation User Guide

Are you using Kia Connect? The update will be automatically downloaded to your vehicle.
However, depending on the network conditions and vehicle status, the time when the download reaches the vehicle may vary.
Please prepare a USB driver stick. A capacity of 32GB or more is recommended.
USB Memory Required
Installing Navigation Updater
Install the program compatible with your operating system:

  1. Install the downloaded file.
  2. Select the language you want to use in the program, then click the "Next" button.
  3. Once the program installation is ready, review the terms of the license agreement and the navigation update software usage rights, check the confirmation and agreement button, and then click the "Next" button.
  4. Choose the location where the program will be installed, then click the "Next" button to proceed with the installation.
View Mac Download Method
  1. Click the "Open" button.
  2. Authorize the app to make the appropriate changes by putting your Apple computer username and password.
  3. Install the downloaded file.
  4. Select the language you want to use in the program, then click the "Next" button.
  5. Once the program installation is ready, review the terms of the license agreement and the navigation update software usage rights, check the confirmation and agreement button, and then click the "Next" button.
  7. Click the "Complete" button to complete the installation.
  8. Launch Navigation Updater.
Use [Check for available software updates] on the home screen to find the latest software for your vehicle.

  2. Have you found your vehicle? Click the [Download] button to launch the installed Navigation Updater.
Download the update files via Navigation Updater.
  1. If your vehicle is selected, please click the [Confirm] button. If an incorrect item is selected, please click the download button on the webpage again.
  2. Select the save location, then click the [Confirm] button.
  3. Check the download progress.
  4. Once the download is complete, select [USB] to transfer the update files to the removable storage device.
    If the files were downloaded directly to the removable storage device, proceed to the next step immediately.
Connect the removable storage device to the vehicle to update the navigation software.
Check that the vehicle's battery is sufficiently charged to prevent the navigation system from shutting down during the update.
  1. Connect the removable storage (USB driver or SD Card) to the vehicle.
  2. From the navigation's main menu, go to [Settings] > [General] > [SW Info/Update] tab, then select [Update].

Please refer to the appropriate navigation update method and proceed with the update in your vehicle.
  • Standard Navigation

※ Important Notes for In-Vehicle Updates

1. The update can only be performed while the navigation system is turned on.

- Caution: If using the vehicle's battery power, ensure the battery is sufficiently charged before proceeding with the update.

2. If the navigation system loses power or the media is removed during the update, it may not function properly.

- The navigation system may also shut down if the engine is started while the update is in progress with the ignition button in the ON position.

  • Standard-class Gen1 Navigation

    Select the "Detail" button. Then, check whether there is the country you would like to download from the map coverage

    After inserting the SD card and rebooting, an Software Upgrade screen appears Click the "Upgrade" button

    Please read the cautions and select the "Agree" button

    Press the "Restart System" button when the upgrade is complete or wait 10 seconds and the system will restart

    Update has been completed
